3 weirs and a church

Sunshine ,blue sky what more could you ask for ,had my breakfast a thought what about some water shots today , So loaded car up and first stop Milford

Then it was off to Peckwash weir at Duffield as i was down there i saw some thing which thought would make a great photo

I've taken this photo quite a few times never disappoints me what ever the weather,

Walking back to the car saw this and stopped for a photo,St Alkmunds Church
 And couldn't resist this photo
 then it was off to Darley Abbey for a shot of the weir down there but best laid plans go wrong where i was going a dosser who was drunk ,drugged looked liken he had been sleeping there ,was giving vile language to people walking past , So went of to some where id not been before for a photo

A evening round about Matlock 

Being it looked a nice night i had a ride up to the hills above Matlock to some spots i had seen perviouslyfor some photos

A summers evening on Curbar edge

Sun was out last night ,so it was camera gear in the car and off out , finished up at Curbar edge for some evening photos of blue sky and sunshine and what a lovely sight it was

 Had a great night up there and i don't think it will be long before another visit is planned

a busy Friday up at Bakewell

It was a trip up to Bakewell Friday morning to collect the son in law he took is camper van up to the Bakewell show ground for the Eroica week end of cycling so i went up early and went up to Magpie mine for some photos 
 Great morning as well very cloudy but a warm wind was blowing 
   Just taking the photos and it was a great feeling to be the only one up there just the wind blowing and the sounds of the curlews added to the atmosphere of the area

Just finished taking my photos sitting in the grass relaxing enjoying the views and sounds ,the phone rang it was Paul the son in law he was stuck in the traffic going into the show ground ,so got my gear and shot off down into Bakewell for a coffee and yes some photos of the town geared up for the Eroica week end 

Breakfast is served 

All that was missing was the Hovis loaf and the little lad

out and about cloud chasing 

In between  the storms had a ride out up to Alport Heights near Wirksworth in Derbyshire
 I managed to get a few shots in between the storms

Then it was a quick run up to Heage wind mill to see if i could capture some great cloud shots up there

Heage windmill just had its sails repaired  nice to see it again

WET WASNT THE WORD

Went up to Lumbs dale falls for a hr with the camera for some photos had a idea what i wanted to shoot wanted to try some think different ,
  Just got set up and the heavens opened so was wet through with sweat because it was that humid  so just took quick 3 shots then grabbed the camera , tripod, bag and retreated making sure the camera was covered up and dry , 
 Lightning , thunder followed ,i was soaked through with in 30 seconds i wasn't stopping in that ,going home roads where flooded even on the tops going to Crich  it was just like driving through a river , 
 but i think i got 3 nice photos i was pleased with them


 So it was home but not dry , i enjoyed it if you have to stay in for the weather you'd never do any think ,

afternoon with the damselflies

had a great afternoon out with these these lovely damselflies up at the pond went out for insects and got carried away just watching these 

lovely to watch there antics over the reeds and water 


 had a few surprises down there as well watching these but thats fir another time
then it was off to another of my favourite places for some landscape later on in the day

As you can see a very hazy night but it was great to get up there and see what turns up with the weather

A morning at padley gorge ,then a bit of macro

went a run out to Padley gorge , a very warm morning so it was sweat and more sweat but what a way to cool of in these great cool waters


boots off socks as well trousers rolled up and feet in the water what a way to take photos


after a session with the camera it was a nice cool walk back through the wood

lovely scenery up there saw two people all morning , back to the car and down to Outside in Hathersage for a coffee and a sausage cob can recommend great food and great staff
  then it was back home for a bit of fun with the macro
