sunsets and not so sunsets

Sun sets come and go , first time I've been to the local where i live for some time had one pint and came home a 5 minute walk on the way back looks at the sky and  thought its going to be one of those nights so went in grabbed my camera bag and off up the fields ,set up and there it was

over looking Alport heights rom Ripley one of my favourite spots

Just two shots thats all i had the chance to take but enjoyed it
The following night it was with the Derby tog squad at Elavaston castle organised by Dave Vowles,
Wasn't a great sky but it was still a great night meeting the crowd ,great people

Elvaston castle ,famous for Women in love starring Oliver Reed, Glenda Jackson  and Derby born Alan Bates , written by D.H.lawrence  , in fact i was working there when it was being filmed , i was working for the Derby corporation as street paver , and did meet the stars of the film

the Elvaston castle lake , full of wild life as we saw and heard while we where down there
there wasn't much of a sun set ,but the togs made up for it ,
thanks all for a great night
 NEXT MORNING

up and out

After two days in bed with a virus id had enough so it was up and out ,Monsal trail here we come , Harvey grandson, and Heather went ahead other bikes while i decided a good walk would clear me of this blinking virus
So we started and Hassap book cafe which i can recommend and they went ahead on the bikes while i started a steady walk ,Wasn't soon before the camera was out and i was feeling my old self again
This lovely little cottage was the first shot of the morning
Then the next stop was the old Hassop train station
Looking back down to the old station , i think this was built for the lord of the manor because he wanted a station next to is hall so he didnt have to travel down to the other station so i was told
The headstone tunnel , by the time i had reached here id thought don't over do it so it was a turn around and and a gentle walk back to the cafe for dinner

After dinner we had a ride back over Beeley moor where the heather was showing a great colour
thanks for viewing and take care all
heres to some more great weather
