back again ,Higger tor

Well it had to be a mother quick trip back to the peak district ,Higger tor
It was one of these decisions where to go wild life ? or what so made a decision up the peaks it was ,
On the way up saw the mist hanging about over Riber castle so a quick stop and a quick shot
All the way up you could see the mist hanging over the valleys , Got up to Chatsworth and the forrest at the back of the house was one mass of mist but there was no way i could park on the road as cars where behind me so carried on up to Ringalow ,
Out the car on with the boots and grabbed the camera bag and that was it off up to the tops
Wow the clouds where great some great formations but it was chilly and a slightly cold wind with the sun breaking through  it was a nice morning for photos
Some great rock formations up there

After spending a couple of hours up there i thought coffee and a snack is calling so it iwas off to Out side down in Hathersage  great place for walking gear ,etc, and also a nice cafe upstairs hot food can recommend the sausage cobs very filling , so after a snack and drink it was off home

But one last stop for a photo saw this on the way up but a car was parked in front of the gap so thought on the way back
once again thanks for viewing and take care all and keep warm

Well after a two week break in Cornwall and Dorset it was back uo to the peak district with my mate Mike Swain
It was a trip up to Padley gorge just above Hathersage , nice to be back a-lovely morning nice bit of cloud and sunshine
First stop was this lovely looking bridge think its called Bens bridge not sure why
then it was a wander down the gorge to see what we could find
bit early as the leaves hadn't got there autumn colour yet a few weeks time it will be a spectacular colour here in fact every where else
 millstone

it was nice just to sit and take in the colours and sounds
and of course you can't go far with out seeing Carl Wark and Higger  Torr
then it was back to have a few minutes sitting under the trees at the side of the bridge listening to the sound of the water going over the rocks
then down to Hathersage for a coffee and sausage cob at the Outside shop
