nothing but fog

Fog nothing but fog but some great photos to be had had a walk out today to the daughters so put the camera in the bag and off we went ,
Only a short walk ,20minutes or so but enjoyed it through Crossly park at Ripley thought there might be some think of interest up there ,there was

While we was up there the mist was coming down 

Last night up the fields

Saw the sun breaking through the mist so grabbed my camera bag of shot up the fields just got set up 

first photo but the mist was coming down 
     then that was it two shots but thats what its  all about 
  take care all

a walk out in the frost this morning

Its been a while since I've been out with the camera so it was a great morning for a walk , Called in at Ripley cemetery a place i have never visited but it was on our way and saw there was some great lighting coming through the trees

 could have done with my tripod but we was going on a leisurely stroll 
Next it was down to the green way 
A bit of frost sunlight and mist on Ripley greenway
 well wrapped p it was great walking weather 
usually a heron to be seen here but not this morning
  Then it was down to Denby pottery for a coffee before traveling on our way

Moon,Stars and Sunset 

Sunday night what a great start 1st photo of the December moon 
 
was down the garden and saw the new moon so it was in for the tripod camera and big lens

Then it was up the fields to try some star photos ,also a good excuse to feed the foxes which I've seen up there , avery cold night  but the sky was a blaze of stars with the moon showing through the trees 
 
enjoyed playing about with the settings and also had a glimpse of the foxes sniffing out the food i put out for them

next night down to Butterly res

got this place in mind all ways a great place for a nice sunset so just waited for the sun to get in the right position and that was it

 end to a great day i had been christmas shopping down Derby so this was a great way to chill out down there and finish the day,           hope you enjoyed the little blog i do ,                                                              take care all and thanks

CLOSE ENCOUNTERS WITH THE FURRY KIND

My friend Alan Heeley runs workshops for wild life photography ,I had the pleasure of attending one Friday morning photographing harvest mice ,these where well looked after and kept in great conditions 
 And he's full of advice about taking them as well 




 Had a great time and these little devils can bite as i saw , One was hanging onto Alans finger and it drew blood , but it was a great session full of info from Alan 
 he as a great website Alan Heeley wild life photographer i can recommend a session at one of these work shops also reflection pool,Kingfisher pool

Another day another sunset

This time it was at one of my favourite places Alport heights nr Wirksworth where you get great sunsets and great views over the Cheshire plains ,
  But by crike it was cold plenty of warm clothing and a hot flask of coffee is the answer oh and some cloves ,
