A nice afternoon so i thought lets do some wild life  photos so got the canon 500mm and the 1d mkvi and off i went down to the local res for some fun ,
 wasn't disappointed  with the session

swans joined in as well
had a chat with the carp anglers down there always a nice crowd
kingfisher was flying about as well but he wouldn't settle ,next time
it was a great afternoon just sitting there listening to the sounds of the grebes
and the sound of the water lapping against the banks , and all this and sunshine as well
great afternoon think this could call for another session out for some more wild life

A MISTY MORNING UP AT THE MINE

Was going to have a morning out with the big lens for a change but the weather said different fancied a bit of wild life for a change so it will have to wait for another day
so loaded up the landscape pack and set off i thought nice and misty ,magpie mine for some atmosphere but the drive up there was a bit of tricky with the mist hanging about on the high ground but as i was on my way the sun was trying to come through fingers crossed could be ok ,
his was the sight what greeted me the mist was clearing as i was unloading the car the mine couldn't be seen
 ground view shot

looking down the river Derwent
then it was over the road for another photo of the weir believe it or not I've seen salmon jumping the weir to get up stream years ago so it just show how clean the Derwent is
another view of the horse shoe weir

looking down onto the bridge , can remember this when it was all stone and no railings , and when the floods where on the river came up and thought the railings

Saturday morning had a trip up to Ashbourne

So put the canon M3 in the car nice little camera to carry round seem to be using this a lot know fits into my small man bag not to heavy in fact you don't no its there ,
Then we called at Crich cemetery to visit Mum&Dads grave nice show of snowdrops round the grave which we planted last year ,and the church yard looked great so took a few photos
Over the wall looking into the old part of the cemetery

can all ways remembering this old building reckon there could be a few owls and bats round there ,a night trip up there may be ?
some people think its morbid taking photos of church yards but theres some thing of beauty in them looking at the grave stones  seeing the names and dates and thinking what sort of life they enjoyed ,
Saw a few old Crich people names up there who i recognised from when i used to stay with my Grandma and Granddad lovely village and plenty of history
     Thanks for viewing
          take care every one
