a ride out to local places

Friday afternoon went out to see some places for a friend who wanted to come down and do some photography work down here ,
so thought i would make a session out of it

Ambergate wire works a place where i used to work , had some great times there even though it was work , intact my family both sides used to work there , from great grandads , mother, father and there relations i was the last of the family to work there ,redundancies could see what was coming so i took it not long after i left it closed down

some think about abandon buildings what catches a photographers eye
Family of the workers used to live in these cottages

so id had a look round , but seen some think which i think could be interesting so will be back
Back to the car and up to Alport  for some more photos
Alport ariels these can be seen for miles around local landmark

Alport stone ,great views over to the Cheshire plains and some times beyond on clear days and great for astro photography when conditions are right

On the way back stopped for a photo of Crich  and the surrounding area
at the moment Crich stand is having a clean up
Thanks all for viewing once more
           Take care all
 till the next time

mew camera ,new start

Moved over to Olympus after using Canon for quite a few years ,Nothing wrong with Canon but i wanted some think a bit lighter and more versatile  to use for my landscape as wild life as taken a rest from my photographing hobby and must say I'm very impressed with the E-M1 MK11,
Had a message from a friend of mine Ian, I'm on about starting a small group up of Olympus owners just for meet ups and photography meet ups would you be interested , ,certainly would as another friend of mine Jim Bell had just changed over to Olympus a great photographer who i have known for many a year ,another message came through Lionel, another friend had just got is on Monday so it started  ,Quite a few more showed interest and from the former club
any way more photos from the camera as i had to get used to the handling and menu
all these photos where taken at the Belper river garden  a great place for photography and wild life

that is how the camera handled in low light
Know for some day light shots from Beeley moor above Chatsworth in the peak district

must say after using canon for some years i was wondering if i had made a mistake ,but i really like taking this camera out ,and look forward to a load more adventures with it
the lens is the Zuiko 12-40mm pro
 thanks for viewing
and hope to see you later with more photos from my adventures

goodbye to my Canons , and welcome to Olympus

I took the decision to part with my Canon 7d and 1d mk iv, and go over to Olympus ,
But not before my sons wedding so the last time to be used was that Saturday
Nothing wrong with the Canons but as i was doing more Landscape and such they where getting a bit heavy to be lugging round the peak district they served me well and was a bit sad to see they go,So after the wedding it was time to say goodbye to them Thanks Canon for a great service
