sunset up in the hills

Had a ride out up into the hills and met my mate Mike Swain for a sun set session up in the hill in the peak district ,thanks to a farmer who lets us use is land we had a great night

 Had a great night ,the sky was fantastic with colours and cloud formations

Re- enactment day Tutbury castle

has a surprise run over to Tutbury castle Easter sunday ,Never been there impressive ruins with great views ,we got there it was a re-enactment day 

 great day seeing them al dressed in medievile costumes

Alport sunsets

Easter Friday it was up to Alport heights for a great sunset and i wasn't to be disappointed , what a sight to see it was one of those nights

a different view every minute with the clouds,sun

Macro in the garden,

Had a morning in the garden as it was a great sunny morning pottering about sorting plants, lawn weeding bit as always the camera and macro lens are on hand

 This friendly lady bird was on a leaf in the reflection pool in the garden ,  Thirsty little chap

glad i found them 

The sun certainly bought the insects out

isn't nature wonderful

and of course it was great to see these little chaps busy in the rockery 

      have a great easter every one

Return to Sawley marina 

Thursday morning had a run down to Sawley marina ,Mike had never been so took him down there to have  look for some photos of the sunrise when its going to be , but today was just a rec. run 

  Took a couple of shots of the place to get an idea of what to look for

 it was  bit dull but the clouds where showing great 

You could just imagine what a great photo these would be with a sun rise 

   Many thanks to Steve Cole for the info about Sawley ,and the Sawley marina cafe for a great breakfast which i can recommend 100%

rocks and clouds

clouds and rocks ,Stanage edge peak district

Had a morning up on Stanage edge ,what a place and a return visit is on the cards,But the first shot of the day was my favourite Crich stand when ever i go past there i always look to see what it looks like ,for a photo

  the light was just beginning to creep up on it from behind

 Mill stone wheels below Stanage edge ,great sight to see 

 Then a scramble through the rocks to get on top of the edge 

looking over to Higger Tor and over owler tor

Noticed this couple sat on the rocks and thought that would make a great shot

Down by the river

  Had a morning down at Trent lock and  Sawley Marina , Sunshine ,blue sky with a few clouds what more could you want ,Oh and a nice cup of coffee and a slice of chocolate cake, sitting in the sunshine

 And then we went to Sawley marina 

    Moored up 

    

 had a great morning down there and finisher off with a nice cup of Lattee and a Piece of chocolate cake sat in the brilliant sun shine

Return to Higger Tor and the Derwent dams dams

Had a return trip upto Higger Tor and the Derwent dams on Thursday morning early for the sun rise ,,,It didn't happen no sunrise but the sky did ]nt let us down sun was trying to break through the clouds it still gave us great photography opportunities ,

 After a hour or so on the tops we decided it was a run to the Derwent dams for a session down there 

           The Derwent Dams

  The famous plug hole ;Lady bower

 seem this photo many times so thought why not

 fantastic lighting and clouds changing every minute

Sat and had our coffee at this spot just soaking up the sounds of the water ,bird songs

 just chilling out 

 In fact we could have stayed here all day , but there was more to see
