a walk back into History, Eyam the plague village

went up to the Eyam plague village , a walk back into history and was it interesting to read and see the story of how this happened
Eyam hall
Eyam church very interesting to have a look inside and around the church yard
The celtic cross
This was the only grave in the church yard of one of the women victims from the plague
one of the cottages , every one of the family died in the plague who lived in this cottage
The graves of the Riley family these are out of the village only a short walk up the hill worth visiting and the views from here over the valley are great
Over looking Chatsworth and Curbar gap from the Rileys Graves
Some great views to be seen from here , and when you stop and think what these poor souls went through when they cut them selves off from the other villages to stop the plague spreading it must have been a very freighting time
Before we headed back home we called in the village cafe for a coffee and snack and can recommend  , great place and a great afternoon spent in this great village
Thanks again for viewing and if your ever round this area can recommend you spend a couple of hours going back in history in this village
