THEN THE SNOW CAME

, so grabbed my camera bag and went up the fields ,with a bit of scraps for the foxes ,sun out a bit cold but well wrapped up so set up for the first shot 

all ways a great place up here , thought i would do some mono today 

 

moved back down  the track to get a better position and then it came snow a right blizzard,

a quick retreat into the wood took this shot then got hood up and went and sat down behind a tree waiting for it to pass, i couldn't have cared less i was enjoying it 

bring it on ,i was enjoying this

one of the tracks which leads off to another place i like for landscapes 

bit of a snack in my pocket so sat it out a bit more snow was getting a bit harder 

and then the sun broke through so i thought I'm off home for a coffee about a 5 minute walk on my back door you cant beat it

A STROLL UP THE RIPLEY GREENWAY

Great morning for a stroll, so boots on camera nothing special just nice to get some fresh air so off we set off

Lovely show of crocus on the walk

purple crocus was spoilt for choice

plenty of walks on this track 

would have looked great at one time 

another bit of structure 

could be ok for some star trails down here 

Heather with Murphy glove carrying any think for a treat 

 Turned out a nice walk , nice weather out of the sun a bit cold but we cant grumble about this weather

another session of wild life and landscapes

                                     Part 2

Fancied a session down at the river gardens in Belper 

getting some flight shots in 

using the Zuiko 40-150,f4,5-6 lens 

Then looked up at the sky and clouds and thought Alport stone why not

nice looking sky but boy was it cold gloves and hat and coat zipped up 

great view overlooking Derby

looking over to the peaks 

    It was getting cold so thought home and a hot mug of coffee

Wildlife and landscapes

Undecided what to do this morning so i though do both a bit of wildlife and a bit of landscape 

 So of i went to Belper river gardens to try the Olympus Zuiko 40-150 f4.5-6 out had it some time but  i wanted to try it out on some wildlife,

 wasn't disappointed 

 take off

 with out here i come

we have lift off

fly past , mallard

fancy looking 

ok im just branching out

i aint got a boat 

, then it was up the road to Ashbourne

 but had to stop of one of my favourite places for a photo of Alport

from Turnditch over looking Alport heights

All ways fancied calling in here for some photos, great  wood while i was there a couple of Buzzards where flying over calling out what a sight to see,

had to have a stop at this view on the way back home

Wollaton hall and deer park

What to do on a wet afternoon , have a visit to Wollaton hall and deer park 

 had some work to do in the morning so it was going to be a quick visit after dinner ,Had the grand daughter for the week end while her sister and dad where up the lakes , 

 so of we went wellies, coats hats , 

this is what we saw when we first arrived , 

Feeding time 

having a good chew

plenty to do when you visit and its free entry 

ceiling of the big hall as you go in

a great place to spend a few hours or more

the rear of the house

some great views 

and the grand daughter got the chance to dress up

if you gott children this is the place to let them run off steam and enjoy them selves and your selves , a great museum , ,the staff are very helpful , two cafes , and some great walks ,can recomend it for a day
