HERCULANEUM

Herculaneum is a smaller town than Pompeii ,this was covered in mud the ruins are in better condition than its well known neighbour  Pompeii

In the back ground the houses are still lived in it just shows the depth of the town there is still ruins under these houses 

 This was a shop the holes where used to store food in

A WALK BACK IN HISTORY

Pompeii was destroyed by lava from the volcano Vesuvius , we spent a morning walking among the ruins , work is still going on excavating was going on while we where there 

the entrance to Pompeii the first sight we saw of this great historical site

That was a trip into the past of Pompeii
